Wake Up Sid!!

Bollywood is turning sensible and creative with movies like Wake Up Sid!!. Ranbir Kapoor is Siddarth Mehra aka Sid, a rich, happy go lucky college guy who cares about nothing, has no idea whatsoever or ambition for his future. Konkana Sen Sharma plays the female lead but the pairing doesn't strike any buzz or fizz. Ranbir looks cool wearing all toon printed Tee shirts.

The movie is all about Ranbir waking up to the reality of making one's own career after college. It is a movie with clear idea and definitive screenplay. Ranbir becomes a photographer. (Man, I wanted to be one!!) I really thank the director and screenplay writer for the pragmatism in the movie plot. It is good to see heroes becoming what they want to be throughout the movie, rather becoming mighty successful in a single song. Talking of songs, they are really a plus for this movie. Wake Up Sid and Ikthara have nice tempo and music. On a whole, it is good movie to watch. The wallet factor is always high when you watch the movie on an opening weekend.
